Common questions
How is the notice-by date worked out?
Renewal date minus the notice period in calendar days. For example, a March 1, 2027 renewal with 90 days notice gives December 1, 2026. The calendar file includes all-day events 120, 90, 60, and 30 days before that, plus the notice-by date and the renewal date.
What if a reminder date has already passed?
The calculator marks it "already past". The calendar file still includes it so the list stays complete; you can delete it from your calendar.
How do I track contracts for my clinic?
Open the app, create an account, then add a location, a device, and the contract. The notice date appears when you enter the renewal date and the notice period. Download an .ics calendar file for reminders. A notice-by date uses 120, 90, 60, and 30 days before, plus the notice-by date and the renewal date. Preventive maintenance, warranty end, and a contract that does not auto-renew use 30 and 7 days before, plus the date itself. The app, the calculator, and the spreadsheet are free. The calculator and spreadsheet do not need an account. Duespan does not send reminder emails.
The calendar file won't open
The download is an .ics file. On a phone, open it from your Files or Downloads app and choose your calendar. In Google Calendar on a computer, use Settings, then Import.
